Casa Mayor Yoga Retreat is a beautiful Yoga Retreat in the Mountains of Malaga, Andalucia. It occupies approximately 63 acres of peaceful and tranquil land. Casa Maya is situated in the 'Montes de Malaga', the mountains of Malaga, near to the large pine forest. There are many areas of natural beauty which you can drive to, and it's a 35 minute drive to the coast.
Casa Maya has a fully equipped yoga hall with mats, blocks, belts, blankets, chairs, sand bags and also a large yoga rope wall. It remains cool even in the full heat of summer.
There is also a large roof terrace approx 7m x 20m which is a lovely space to practise, or just to enjoy the view and there is a large terrace in front of the farmhouse for eating alfresco, or just relaxing. There is also a wonderful fresh water swimming pool with a view. All the water at Casa Mayor is pumped from a well on the land.
The nearest village is Comares, a 15 minute drive away. It is one of the famous 'pueblo blancos' or white villages, a very pretty village which dates back to Moorish times. It is well worth a walk around, and although small, it has 2 banks, a supermarket and various bar/cafes and restaurants.

Transfers from Malaga Airport
The nearest airport is Malaga. To travel up to Casa Mayor, guests normally either hire a car or take a taxi. The local taxi's charge €50 for an airport pick up or drop off. There are 2 taxi's which can take up to 6 people each and another one which can take 4. Usually the flights are staggered, so the 6-people taxis can do a couple of trips to the airport to pick guests up, so the cost per person for a full taxi of 6 works out at about €10 per trip.
Malaga airport and Malaga town centre are both about 45 minutes away by car. There are a wide variety of things to do and see in Malaga itself. It has a lovely old town, some great museums, and much more as well.
